God says, “ Prepare for famine!”

FAMINE PREPAREDNESS

Genesis 47 : 15 - 16

15 So when the money failed in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, "Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For the money has failed."

16 Then Joseph said, "Give your livestock, and I will give you [bread] for your livestock, if the money is gone."

Here we see that Joseph used an exchange of goods in lieu of money.

WHEN THE MONEY FAILS, we must go back to the system of exchanging goods and services.

GOD’S PEOPLES AS PROVIDERS:

God wants to use the Church to

“ keep many people alive!”

( Genesis 50:20).

ALL HANDS ON DECK!

NO ONE IS EXEMPT!

Each one of us must go before the Lord and ask Him what goods or services He wants you to provide.

START WORKING ON IT NOW!

God wants us to be ready so He informs us in advance, giving us time to prepare!

THE SELF-SUFFICIENT HOME/ VILLAGE/ TOWN/ LOCALITY

Since fuel will be in shortage and transportation will be a problem, goods and services need to be within easy reach.

GIVE LEADERSHIP TO YOUR VILLAGE COUNCIL to keep your area well supplied during the upcoming famine.

DO NOT NEGLECT THIS!

Some people who warned about the Corona Pandemic early were ridiculed and mocked, but CORONA CAME!

This too shall come to pass!

LET’S GET READY!

PRACTICAL ASPECTS:

1. Grow a home garden, pot gardens on rooftops;

Community gardens in locality: small scale local farmers growing diverse crops.

2. Store Up Non-Perishables:

Water, oil, gas, bulk whole grains with long shelf life, save and store seeds;

Clothes and toiletries, medicines, stationery, essential tools and equipment ( ie.grinding mill) etc.

3. Preserve food and minimize wastage: Freeze-dry, dehydrate, ferment, pickle etc.

4. Alternative food options: flowers, leaves, roots,yams;

Insects-( John the Baptist ate locusts and honey) - Yum! 👍

Amphibians- Slimy but Satisfying! 😊

5. Hunting, Fishing, Foraging ( collecting food from the jungle- avoid umbrella shaped flowers, waxy leaves with milky sap, spines or hairs: TOXIC!)

6. Harvest Rainwater and store chlorine/ iodine for purification.

7. Opt for Solar Energy

8. Keep your store or warehouse a secret to protect it from looters, thieves,robbers.

Have a way to protect yourself.

9. Protect your crops and stores from animals, insects and mildew. Store what is needed for pest control.

10. Develop your own brand for exchange purposes.

Avoid getting into debt.
